* Manulife Vietnam has got approval from the Ministry of Finance to increase its chartered capital by 38 percent to VND1.35 trillion. In 2016, the life insurer plans to open 10 more offices in the country to expand its operations. At present, ManulifeVietnamhas over 20,500 employees at its offices in 35 of the country’s 63 provinces and cities.

* Vietnam Dairy Products Company (VNM) said it would pay a 2016 first round dividend in cash for shareholders at VND4,000 per share. Payments are slated for August 31. The dairy processor will also give bonus shares to shareholders at a 5:1 ratio.

* H&H Hanoi Trading Investment Company has for the first time registered to buy 500,000 shares (1.5 percent) ofTMT Motors Corporation (TMT) over one month starting from July 25.

* Binh Duong Construction & Civil Engineering Company (BCE) said its net profit surged 150 percent year-on-year to VND8.6 billion in the second quarter of this year. In the first half, BCE saw its net profit jumping 4-fold from a year earlier to VND13.5 billion.

* Lam Thao Fertilisers and Chemicals Company (LAS) said it plans to issue over 35 million bonus shares for shareholders at a 100:45 ratio to revise up its chartered capital from VND778.3 billion to nearly VND 1.13 trillion. This year, LAS looks to attain revenue of VND4. 76 trillion and after-tax profit of VND436 billion.

* Maritime Supply & Technology Service Company (MAC) has added 1.3 million shares on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, raising its total outstanding volume to 14.4 million shares. The new shares will be tradable on July 27.

* Individual investor Nguyen Trong Trung has for the first time registered to buy 600,000 shares (8.6 percent) in Song Da Industry Trade Company (STP) from July 26 to August 24.

* Northern Textiles & Garments Company (TET) has announced July 27 as the ex-dividend date to pay a 2016 dividend in cash for shareholders at 7 percent. The firm will make payments on August 12.

* Kido Group Corporation earned nearly VND984 billion in net revenue and over VND161 billion in after-tax profit in the first half of this year. Ice cream business made up three-fourths of its revenue. The company said its ice cream and yogurt plant in thenorthern provinceof Bac Ninh would be put into operation this quarter.
