Danang and Quang Ninh reopen services as social distancing rules loosened

Danang City and Quang Ninh Province have reopened some services as the Covid-19 outbreak has been brought under control.

Tourist spots, cafe, restaurants, gyms and some other services reopened in Quang Ninh Province from 12 pm on June 8. Tourist spots and religious facilities are only allowed to receive residents for the time being. Karaoke bars and nightclubs are still closed.

Tourist spots were asked to apply preventive measures and the leaders must take all responsibility.

The people’s committees of cities, communes, and districts will monitor, inspect and provide guidance. Facilities that fail to meet the requirements will be suspended.

The Department of Tourism will collaborate with the Department of Health and local authorities from now to June 11 to work on plans to receive visitors from safe cities and provinces. It is hoped that the summer tourism activities will be resumed soon.

Danang Committee for Covid-19 Prevention also announced that Le Quang Nam, vice chair of Danang People’s Committee, had signed the decision to ease social distancing rules from June 9. The city hasn’t reported any new community cases for 21 days.

Restaurants can offer on-site services again but must work at half of their capacity and close at 9 pm. Hair salons are reopened but spas and beauty salons are still closed. The beaches will be opened from 4.30 am to 7.30 am and from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm. The authorities still ban large gatherings and vendors on the beach.

Bans are lifted for sports in which players can keep a distance from each other like tennis, golf, and walking.

Localities authorities are asked to tighten monitoring measures and strictly deal with violators.
