President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed former Transportation Undersecretary Cesar Chavez as new Board member of Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).

BCDA is a government owned and controlled corporation under the Executive department that is mandated to transform the former US military base into economic centers for the benefit of the general public.

Chavez’ term as BCDA Board member began on July 1, 2018 and will end on June 30, 2019.

It will be recalled that Chavez resigned in November 2107 following a series of mishaps in the MRT 3.
