Exports to Cambodia dip more than 10pct

Vietnam exports to Cambodia dropped 10.63 percent to $1.9 billion for 11 months leading up to December 2016, according to Vietnam Customs.

In the reviewed period, Vietnam companies shipped 28 groups of products to Cambodia. Key export products included steel with an export value of $271.9 million (down 24.98 percent), followed by petroleum (down 25.23 percent to $256 million and garment (up 18.59 percent to $221.3 million).

Most export products to Cambodia witnessed a decline. Fertiliser saw the deepest fall of 93.12 percent to $76.4 million.

Only a few products obtained a robust export growth like telephones and components (up 1618.23 percent to $2.6 million) and wood and timber products (up 371.12 percent to $10.8 million).
