HK protests: Generation gap on the streets

Pro-China crowds are mostly middle-aged or older, the pro-democracy group is mostly made up of the younger generation.

In a few hours, crowds are expected to begin gathering for another mass rally in Hong Kong.

But police have denied permission for them to march through the centre of the city.

Saturday saw crowds turn out for and against the government.

And as Al Jazeera’s Hoda Abdel Hamid found out, there was a generational divide among those on the streets.
