HK reports 17 new COVID-19 cases

Hong Kong’s centre for Health Protection (CHP) reported 17 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Friday, taking the total tally to 11,635.

There were 11 imported cases and six local cases which were epidemiologically linked with other local cases confirmed earlier, according to the CHP.

A total of 138 cases have been recorded in the past 14 days, including 30 local ones, of which seven have unknown infection sources, the CHP said.

Hong Kong launched a COVID-19 vaccination drive on February 26. About 648,900 people have received their first dose of vaccine, and about 332,100 have received their second dose so far.
