Indonesia’s current oil reserves would be available only for the next 9.5 years, and gas reserves were expected to run out within the next 19.9 years, minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif said Tuesday (January 19).

“The oil reserves are estimated to be depleted by 9.5 years and gas reserves would be exhausted for around 19.9 years,” the minister said at a working meeting with the House of Representatives’ Commission VII overseeing energy, research and technology.
