Indonesia’s latest official COVID-19 figures

The health ministry announced 1,282 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the total number of infections nationwide to 76,981.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, the ministry’s disease control and prevention director general, Achmad Yurianto, added that 50 more people had died of the disease, bringing the death toll to 3,656.

The total number of recovered patients has also increased to 36,689.

The capital city recorded 281 new confirmed cases, bringing the total tally to 14,797. Meanwhile, East Java reported 219 new cases, South Sulawesi 124, Central Java 100, Papua 98 and West Java 83.

The virus has spread to all of the country’s 34 provinces.
