Malaysia’s August CPI up 2pct, misses forecast

Malaysia’s consumer prices in August rose 2 percent from a year earlier, less than forecast,, government data showed on Friday. August’s consumer price index (CPI) was expected to rise 2.2%, according to 21 economists surveyed in a Reuters poll.
