Prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today took time off from his busy schedule for a walkabout at the Telaga Walk in Pantai Chenang here.

Najib arrived about 6pm and spent 30 minutes mingling with the crowd at the Klinik Niaga event jointly organised by SME Corp and Malay Chambers of Commerce.

He was accompanied by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah, Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates for Langkawi parliamentary seat Datuk Nawawi Ahmad and Kuah state seat Nor Saidi Nanyan.

The crowd took the opportunity to take photographs with the prime minister.

Najib visited the booths and had light refreshments at the site before leaving for another walkabout session at Ayer Hangat night market.

The prime minister is scheduled to attend a dinner with Langkawi tourism players at Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC) here.
