Najib wishes Happy New Year to Indian community

Prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak wishes a Happy New Year to the Indian community in the country.

“In conjunction with the Chittirai, Vishu New Year and Vaisakhi Festival this year, I take this opportunity to say “Chittirai Putthandu Vaalthukal” and “Vishu Ashamsakal” to the Tamil and Malayali communities in Malaysia.

“Not forgetting our friends from the Sikh communities, I wish “Aap Sab Nu Vaisakhi Di Lakh Lakh Vadai Hovey”, said Najib in his Twitter page.

He hoped the celebration would bring a new chapter in the lives of the Indian community.

The Chittirai New Year celebration and Vaisakhi festival will be held tomorrow while the Vishu New Year will be celebrated on Sunday.
