The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reiterated that quarantine passes and face masks are not required in entering supermarkets or grocery stores.

NCRPO director PMGen. Debold Sinas clarified the Inter-Agency Task Force has no directive mandating customers to have quarantines passes and face masks before entering supermarkets.

“Hindi po iyan license or ID para bumili ka. Ang bilihan po ay para sa lahat (That is not a license or ID so you can buy. Everyone is free to shop),” Sinas said.

Sinas said they have been receiving reports about customers who were barred from entering supermarkets because they do not have a quarantine pass or were not wearing face masks.

The NCRPO official advised to immediately report similar incidents in the nearest police station.
