None found infected with Covid in three overnight lockdowns

Three overnight lockdowns in Aberdeen, Lai Chi Kok and Tung Chung have been lifted on Wednesday morning after no one tested positive for the coronavirus.

About 2,115 people were tested during the lockdowns.

Ka Sing House of Ka Lung Court was one of the buildings locked down in Aberdeen. A 67-year-old woman, who visited the Little Boss pet shop in Causeway Bay and has since been confirmed with Covid lives there.

Her husband was tested preliminary positive for the coronavirus yesterday.

Mei Foo Sun Chuen Phase 3 in Lai Chi Kok was also cordoned off, after a resident also a 26-year-old kindergarten teacher tested preliminary positive. Health authorities were still tracing the source of her infection.

She works at Learning Habitat Kindergarten (Novum East) and last went to work on January 5. She had a fever on Sunday.

Residents of Monterey Cove Tower 1 of Caribbean Coast Phase 1 in Tung Chung were also placed under lockdown for Covid tests after a 16-year-old student who lives there tested preliminary positive.

The student is a classmate of an earlier confirmed case studying at the Delia Memorial School in Mei Foo.
