The central coastal province of Khanh Hoa will welcome some 9,350 international tourists on board 48 flights from now until the end of 2021, said Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, director of the provincial Department of Tourism.

These foreign guests come from South Korea, Russia, the Philippines, Japan and Cambodia.

On November 25, a flight operated by Bamboo Airways is set to transport 295 South Koreans to the Cam Ranh International Airport.

The next day, four flights carrying some 1,200 Russians, South Koreans and Americans will arrive in Khanh Hoa Province through the arrangements of the Vietnam Railways Trade Union Tourist Service Company, Tuoi Tre Online reported.

Between late November and early January 2022, seven flights will bring visitors from South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan and Qatar to the province.

Tran Duy Thang, general director of Thien Nhan Travel Company, said the firm would start to take South Korean tourists to the province from January 5 next year, targeting to serve some 1,000 visitors per month. Travellers will experience bubble tours, which will take in golf courses.

The demand of South Koreans to travel to Vietnam is high as their country is undergoing winter, Thang said.

South Korea is Khanh Hoa Province’s third largest source market, after China and Russia, said Pham Minh Nhut, vice chair of the Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Tourism.

A report by the provincial government showed that as of November 22, the province had allowed 35 lodging facilities to serve international tourists with a Covid vaccine passport.
