Islamist party PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man arrived at Istana Negara at 10.20am today.

The minister of environment and water was the first party representative to enter the gates today for a scheduled audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang is currently hospitalised at the National Heart Institute (IJN).

The King is due to meet several political party leaders over the next couple of days in several high-level meetings as a means to get feedback on the Covid-19 situation and the state of Emergency in the country.

Tuan Ibrahim was then seen leaving the palace at 11.35am an hour after he went in.

Following his departure, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong, who is also MCA president, was seen entering the premises at 11.55am.

The others expected to arrive today are former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as well as former Sabah chief minister Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal, in their capacities as the heads of Parti Pejuang Tanah Air and Parti Warisan Sabah respectively.

Members of the media who are staking out the palace were treated by the King to lunch from Restoran Ali Maju.

Head of Palace Communications Muzli Mohd Zain said, “Please help yourselves to some food from His Majesty. He is aware you guys have been working hard out here under the sun so please have some refreshments on behalf of the King and stay safe.”
