The Saigon Times Group will organise a seminar, themed, “Asean Market: Opportunity for Vietnamese Enterprises,” on October 10 in collaboration with the 2030 Business Club on the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day to point out reasons why Vietnamese firms failed to enter the Asean market, as well as introduce the market’s potential and advantages to the participating firms.

The seminar, to be held at Capella Gallery Hall in HCM City’s District 10, is also aimed at providing sales experience and information on legislation procedures so that Vietnamese firms can weigh penetration into the market.

Since the establishment of the Asean Economic Community (AEC) in late 2015, commodities from countries in the region, mainly Thai goods, have flowed into Vietnam in large volumes. Meanwhile, Vietnam’s enterprises have shown little interest in or have neglected the potential market.

Besides this, under free trade agreements, the AEC currently enjoys a high tax reduction and maintains freedom in trading goods and services, paving the way for Vietnamese enterprises to do business in the market.

The seminar is expected to show the participating firms how to seek partners and export their products to the Asean market.

For registration, which concludes on October 9, readers can contact Truc Nhu, external affairs executive of the Saigon Times Group, on 0902525180 or by email at [email protected], or they can contact Xuan Bach at the 2030 Business Club on 0913853139.
