SHB and ACB to pay dividends in shares

Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ACB) has announced the results of issuing shares to pay dividends to existing shareholders. Specifically, the bank will issue more than 89.6 million shares to 24,017 existing shareholders.

The record date and the final registration date for dividend payment was on December 2, 2016. The transaction is expected to be implemented in January 2017.

After the transaction, ACB’s charter capital will increase from 9.377 trillion dong to more than 10.273 trillion dong.

Currently, ACB is having four major shareholders including Standard Chartered APR Limited with 9.65 percent stake, Connaught Investors Limited with 7.99 percent stake, Dragon Financial Holdings Limited with 7.5 percent stake and Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited with 6.85 percent stake.

Besides, Saigon-Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB) has also announced the final registration date to exercise the right to receive dividends in shares in 2015 will be on December 29, 2016. SHB is expected to pay dividends in shares at the rate of 7.5 percent.

Recently, the State Bank approved the bank’s chartered capital increase from 9.486 trillion dong to 10.197 trillion dong under the plan adopted at the bank’s annual general meeting (AGM) on April 21, 2016.
