Employees and sales agents of Shinhan Vietnam Finance Company Limited have donated nearly 100 units of blood in Hanoi in response to a call for blood donation by the National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion amid a severe shortage.

This is the second time this year that Shinhan Finance has taken part in a blood donation programme.

According to the institute, there has been growing demand for blood amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Dao Anh Diep, one of the donors at the event, said: “Coming together for a good cause can really make a big impact. Helping people in need, especially saving lives, is the greatest form of kindness each of us can offer to [others].”

Atul Dixit, CEO of Shinhan Finance, said: “Blood donation is to be imbibed as an activity of giving and helping other human beings. This event also helped our staff become aware of their social responsibilities, and they participated enthusiastically.”
