Truong Hai Auto Corporation, or Thaco, on February 23 exported 40 Kia Grand Carnival passenger cars to Thailand, which were assembled at the Thaco Kia factory in the Thaco-Chu Lai Industrial Park in Quang Nam Province. This is reportedly the first passenger car shipment of Thaco to the Thai market, paving the way for the carmaker to hit its target of shipping over 1,600 cars of all kinds to overseas markets in 2020, with total value exceeding $50 million. The partner importer is Yontrakit Kia Motor Co., Ltd, a KIA authorised auto importer and distributor based in Thailand’s Bangkok, according to baodautu.vn.

HCM CityComposite Capital Master Fund Lp, a foreign hedge fund, purchased 7.3 million shares from Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPB) on February 18, raising its holding from over 118 million VPB shares to more than 125 million units, or from 4.85 percent to 5.15%, and became the bank’s major shareholder, reported Cafef.vn.

HCM CityMobile World Investment Corporation (MWG) said in its January financial report that it earned VND12.56 trillion in consolidated net revenue, up 21 percent over the same period in 2019. Its after-tax profit soared 22 percent to VND553 trillion.

HCM CityTan Dai Hung Plastic JSC (TPC) has set a target to obtain over VND625 billion in revenue and after-tax profit of VND20 billion in 2020. Last year, the plastics firm’s turnover reached VND761 billion, while its profit exceeded VND21 billion.

HCM CityGia Lai Electricity JSC (GEG) has completed the transfer of its entire 588,000 shares, or a 65.33 percent stake, which it owned at Kenh Bac-Ayun Ha Hydropower JSC.

HANOIPower Engineering Consulting JSC 4 (TV4) has announced March 6 as the ex-dividend date to pay a 2019 cash dividend at 5 percent for shareholders. The record date is March 9 and the payment date is scheduled from March 25.

HANOIIDJ Vietnam Investment JSC (IDJ) has approved the issuance of three packages of three-year bonds worth VND30 billion, with an annual interest rate of 13%.
