Nine students from several architecture universities have been honoured for their impressive interior designs during an awards ceremony in Hanoi late last week.

Kiched off in June 2020 by the Vietnam Interior Design Student Association, the award aimed to create a professional competition for interior students, providing them with opportunities to practice and promote their creativity.

Six months after launch, the organising committee of the Vietnam Interior Design Student Award 2020 (ISA 2020) had received 230 entries, which were graduation projects of interior design students from 27 universities and colleges nationwide.

Luu Viet Thang, Co-Founder of the association and head of the award’s organising committee, said amid a challenging context, the ISA 2020 demonstrated the effort of his forum to accompany students in stepping out of the safe zone, then contributing to affirming the core values of the interior design industry in Vietnam.

A seminar discussing Vietnamese identity in interior design and an exhibition showcasing the 60 best entries in the competition were also held on the sidelines of the event.
