Taiwan media cover Amuro’s airport arrival

Taiwanese media say Japanese pop star Namie Amuro arrived at Taipei’s international airport on Thursday.

She was greeted by about 500 people, including fans and reporters.

A banner written in Japanese expressed fans’ thanks to the singer.

Amuro stopped in front of cheering fans and bowed with a smile before being escorted out of the airport.

Taiwanese media gave extensive coverage to her arrival, an indication of her huge popularity on the island.
