Latest carrier connecting South Korea’s third-largest city with tourist destination Khanh Hoa introduces flights recently.

T’way Air, a low-cost airline from South Korea, recently coordinated with Cam Ranh International Airport in south-central Khanh Hoa province to launch Incheon-Cam Ranh flights.

Daily flights depart Incheon at 10.50pm and arrive at Cam Ranh at 1.50am, while the return flight from Cam Ranh departs at 2.50am and arrives at Incheon at 9.25am (all local times). Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737 MAX 8 with 180 and 189 seats, respectively, are used on the route.

T’way is the sixth carrier to conduct flights from Incheon to Cam Ranh, joining Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Korean Air, Jeju Air, and Eastar Jet. The new route also represents T’Way’s fourth destination in Vietnam, along with HCM City, Hanoi, and Da Nang.

With an area of 5.2 ha, Cam Ranh International Airport welcomes some 80 flights with 14,500 passengers each day. Each week it welcomes 42 flights from South Korea with average passenger numbers of about 200. South Korea is now the third-largest tourist market for Khanh Hoa, after China and Russia.

Khanh Hoa welcomed some 6.3 million tourists in 2018, including 2.8 million foreigners, up 15 per cent and 36 per cent, respectively, against 2017. Among them were 83,000 South Korean visitors; double the figure in 2017.

With a coastline of more than 380 km and hundreds of islands and islets and a sunny climate all year round, Khanh Hoa has 690 lodging facilities with 32,000 rooms. Its capital, Nha Trang, has 180 km of coastline, with beautiful landscapes including Van Phong, Nha Trang and Cam Ranh Bays and many islands. It is known for its beautiful beaches with fine clean sand and water and excellent scuba diving and is a popular destination for domestic and international tourists, including affluent travellers. Nha Trang Bay is widely considered among the world’s most beautiful, and hosted the Miss Universe 2008 and Miss World 2010 pageants.

Khanh Hoa is now hosting National Tourism Year 2019, which is organised annually and the most important programme in Vietnam’s tourism sector. With theme “Nha TrangColor of the Sea”, National Tourism Year 2019 will feature hundreds of cultural, sports, and tourism events.

Incheon is located in northwestern South Korea, bordering the capital of Seoul to the east. It is home to about 3 million people, making it the country’s third most-populous city after Seoul and Busan.

T’way Air was established in Seoul in 2004. It operates domestic flights in South Korea and international flights to Japan, China, Taiwan (China), Guam, Thailand, Macau, and Vietnam.
