The Cabinet of ministers has approved a draft agreement with the government of the Republic of Indonesia on mutual abolition of the visa regime. The relevant decision was made at a government meeting on Wednesday, November 18.

Indonesian citizens will be allowed to stay in Ukraine without visas for up to 30 days.

It should be noted that today there is an asymmetric visa regime between the countries: Ukrainians can travel to Indonesia without visas for up to 30 days, and Indonesian citizens are required to apply for a visa in order to visit Ukraine.

As we reported earlier, German Ambassador to Ukraine Anka Feldhusen predicts that a full resumption of visa-free travel between Ukraine and the European Union will have taken place by summer 2021.

“My personal prediction is that the current situation will last until the end of spring 2021. By then, the vaccine should still be available, and I hope that this will open the borders for free travel. Although mass vaccination is also a time-consuming process,” stated Feldhusen.
