Vietnam Airlines will move its London-bound services from Gatwick to Heathrow this summer.

The national carrier operates two twice-weekly flights to the UK capital, one from Hanoi and the other from Ho Chi Minh, with a B777-200ER.

From March 30, both routes will move to London Heathrow, reports airlineroute.net.

The airline still plans to roster a B787 Dreamliner onto the services from July 1.

Vietnam Airlines launched the first direct, nonstop flights between London and Hanoi and HCM City in 2011 (see news, December 2011).
