The Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) are set to host an online trade exchange from October 6 to October 7 in order to introduce the Vietnamese textile and garment industry and business opportunities between enterprises from both countries.

The event also aims to strengthen the sustainable cooperation relations between Taiwanese textile raw material manufacturers and local firms.

This comes following two similar events being held in both HCM City and Hanoi which featured the involvement of approximately 100 Vietnamese enterprises and 16 Taiwanese businesses.

As part of this year’s event, TTF will co-ordinate with VINEXAD Company in order to introduce 12 popular fabric manufacturers from Taiwan (China).

Representative of VINEXAD will arrange individual meetings at the request of Vietnamese businesses, with fabric samples from numerous Taiwanese businesses being sent to local firms as soon as possible.

Last year saw Taiwan become the country’s largest textile and garment export market with export turnover reaching $1.9 billion, accounting for 25.3 percent of the country’s total export revenue.

Although there are travel restrictions in place due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the event is anticipated to provide an ideal venue for businesses of both sides to enhance trade exchanges, seek partners, and open up cooperation opportunities moving forward.
